Abstract
500,644. Moulding and cutting confectionery. HANSELLA GES. May 7, 1937, No. 13158. Void. Convention date, May 7, 1936. [Class 87 (ii)] [Also iii Group XVII] The machine shapes a rod of confectionery stock and feeds it to a cutting device which severs substantially rectangular blocks therefrom. each block is fed on to a rotary table. a wrapper is applied and folded about the block to form a packet. Common driving mechanism actuates all the parts to perform a continuous operation. The rod 4, Fig. 2, of stock is fed by equalizing rollers 2, 3 to a cutting device 5, Figs. 2 and 14, having a series of radially disposed blades 6, which, with pistons 8, form cells 7. The pistons are carried on rods 9 actuated by a stationary cam 10. A disc 13 with a roughened surface supports the stock during severance, and the blocks 18 are expelled from the cells at the top by the cam 10 into the path of a horizontal revolving disc 19, arms 20 on which deliver them in succession on to a plate for forwarding to the wrapping mechanism.
