Abstract
500,331. Fuel - injection pumps. JUNKERS FLUGZEUG-UND-MOTORENWERKE AKT.-GES. May 20, 1938, No. 15111. Convention date, May 22, 1937. [Class 102 (i)] Relates to the dcaeration of fuel supplied by a precompression pump 4 to a fuel-injection pump 6, particularly for the engine 2 of an aeroplane. The invention consists in supplying fuel in excess which returns to the pump 4 by a pipe 8, and in providing a pipe 13 from the highest point of the suction chamber 16 of the pump 6 to the deaerator 5. The fuel passes by a pipe 10 from the pump 4 to the deaerator 5, and from the latter to the pump 6 by a pipe 7. The pipes 13 and 7 are inclined to the axis y-yof the engine and pump at a greater angle than that formed between the engine axis and the horizontal z-z in the ground position of the aeroplane.
