499,345. Hand wheels. THERMOPLASTICS, Inc. Aug. 20, 1937, No. 22925. Convention date, June 15, 1937. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Feb. 21, 1938.] [Class 80 (iv)] Spokes 12 of steering wheels are secured to the rim by means of stamped plates 38, 39 welded to both rim and spokes. Ornamental pieces 32, Fig. 5, which bind the spokes together at a point between rim and hub, are secured in position by forming a notch on the under side of one or more spokes and punching the metal at 36 of the piece 32 into the notch. Specification 499,344 is referred to.
