[Class 120 (ii)] In order to limit the width of the individual skeins of artificial silk, the bars or laths a of the collapsable reel on which it is wound is formed with bulges or elevations 1. The bulges or elevations 1 may be formed on auxiliary members which are pushed on to the bars of the reel and held thereon by dovetail or clawlike connections. The auxiliary members may be made from acid-resisting sheet metal or acid-resisting artificial substances or be coated with acid-resisting material.
