498,704. Twisting &c. spindles. ARUNDEL, COULTHARD, & CO., Ltd., and PILKINGTON, F. Oct. 12, 1937, No. 27669. [Class 120 (ii)] In twisting and like spindle apparatus, such a are used in the manufac ture of silk and rayon, o the kind mounted in a swivelling arm movable by a torsion spring to bring the spindle into contac with a driving-belt, a wire f is mounted in the swivel ling arm b, of which one end f<1> is bent so as to engage a stop e on the bolster c in which the swivelling arm is pivoted and the other end f<2> serve! as a handle to move the end f<1> from the stop e anc thereby to permit the tor sion spring i to move the spindle against the driving-belt. The rear face of the stop e is bevelled to facilitate the passage of the wire when the spindle is moved to the stop position.
