[Class 38 (v)] [Also in Groups XXXI and XXXVIII] An indicator for the switch controlling the lamps of a motor vehicle comprises a casing a having a frosted glass front b and containing three incandescent bulbs c, d and e. A screen g ensures that lamp c only illuminates the upper part of glass b while allowing lamp d to illuminate the whole of the glass. Lamp e shines through a small aperture and gives a spot of light on the glass. When the switch is put to full headlights, lamp d lights up the whole of disc b, while for " dim " lamp c lights part of disc b and for " parking lamp e shows a spot on the disc. This is stated to resemble the actual appearance of the lamps.
