Abstract
497,761. Directive wireless signalling ; cathode-ray tubes. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., and WALKER, L. E. Q. June 26, 1937, No. 17866. [Class 40 (v)] A cathode-ray indicator, for use in directionfinding, is provided with external means for correcting quadrantal and like error. As shown in the Figure, a series of eight equallyspaced coils M1 ... M8 are individually energized as required to correct for quadrantal, octantal, or similar error on an evenly-calibrated indicator scale. The coils may be rotated around the tube in synchronism with the radiogoniometer or frame aerial. Specification 482,101 is referred to.
