Abstract

497,075. Control of motors. FODOR, J. June 3, 1937, No. 16612/38. Divided application. [Class 38 (iii)] [Also in Group XXXV] An electrical distribution system employing inductive couplings for use in coal mines &c., where explosive mixtures may be present, consists of a plurality of link members 6, 14, 14<1> opposite ends of which each terminate in a winding 8, 10, 12 which may be mechanically secured to and thus inductively coupled to a similar winding on the next successive link. The windings are arranged on cores of magnetic material which may be connected to metallic sheathing. The mechanical connections may yield to heavy tension. Various load devices L may be inductively coupled to the leads in a similar manner. An operating switch for a load may be located in a flame proof casing remote from the load, and may be operated by a relay also in the flame proof casing the circuit for which is controlled by inductive couplings. Specification 392,168, [Group XXXV], is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 15045/05, [Class 38].
