Abstract

495,404. Valve generating circuits. TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE. May 13, 1937, No. 13549. Convention date, May 12, 1936. [Class 40 (v)] In a multi-vibrator, variation of the impulse frequency due to change of valve characteristics with age is overcome by providing in parallel with the grid-cathode path of one or both valves, a rectifier and D.C. potential sources in series. Valves 10, 11, anode resistances 12, 13, and resistance-capacity units 14, 15 and 17, 18, Fig. 1, form a normal multivibrator arrangement with potentials supplied from potentiometer 24. Rectifiers 20, 21 have a negative bias with respect to the cathodes equal to the potential between points P1, P3, and rectifiers 22, 23, have as bias the potential between P1, P2. The full curves, Figs. 2, 3, show the variation in grid potential of the two valves when rectifiers 22, 23 are not considered, the minimum values of grid potential, P4, P5, being dependent upon the steepness of the anode current-grid potential characteristic of the valves. ego Represents the grid potential at which anode current ceases. When rectifiers 22, 23 are considered the grid potential does not fall below P2 and the curves A, B, are obtained.
