Abstract
494,082. Filing papers. GUICHARD, R. A. E. May 9, 1938, No. 13821. Addition to 464,221. [Class 146 (i)] In a filing-folder as described in the parent Specification in which each leaf 1, 2 is provided with a row of openings 4, 5 respectively for the reception of a rod adapted to rest on supporting- rods for suspending the folder, the openings, with the possible exception of those at each end, are of elliptical, rectilinear, or other form elongated parallel to the fold-line 3 to facilitate the insertion of the rods. Also, each leaf is provided with a folded-over marginal extension 10, 12 at the top edge, and the row of openings is situated close to the line of fold 11 or 13 respectively. The extension 12 is made wider than the extension 10 and has an additional fold-line 14 so that it can be folded over to enclose the open end of the folder. Endwise movement of the folder on the supporting-rods is prevented by the engagement of struck-up tongues on the rods with notches 8 in vertical inner edges on the end openings. Openings 9 are provided adjacent to the central fold 3 so that it can be seen whether the folder contains any documents. Specifications 463,893 and 489,801 are referred to.
