493,651. Propelling aircraft. HORROCKS, W. A. June 15, 1937, No. 16569. [Class 4] A mounting for aero-engines comprises independent tubular frames disposed on each side of the engine and each frame is connected at vertically spaced points A, B to the aircraft structure and includes a normally substantially horizontal member E<3> carrying two engine seats C<1>, C<2>, a laterally-extending king post E braced by members E<1>, E<2> to the points A and B and by a member E<3> to the seat C<1>, the seats C<1>, C<2> being braced to the point B by members D<1>, D<2> and the seat C' being braced to the point A by a member D or an intermediate point of the member D' being braced to the point A. In the latter alternative construction, the intermediate point is braced to the seating C<2> and to the outer end of the port E.
