Abstract

492,298. Pleating and suspending curtains. FRENCH & SONS, Ltd., T., and FRENCH, G. F. March 18, 1937, Nos. 7922 and 21764. [Class 52 (v)] In curtain heading tape a of the kind having hook-tubes or loops woven integrally with the tape, the tubes are arranged in pairs b spaced apart along the tape. A suspension hook engages a pair of tubes. If a drawcord c is provided to pleat the tape, each pair of tubes may lie on a ridge or in a channel, or the pairs may lie both on ridges and in channels. Fig. 9 shows the elements of each pair of tubes b disposed in staggered relationship, a single suspension hook common to both elements being used. The elements of each pair may be integral with one another, or lie close together. The tubes may be woven to stand up from the tape, and the tape may be woven to leave an opening in it where each tube comes. Specifications 491,080 and 491,081 are referred to.
