947,184. Suspending curtains. L. S. ROBERTS. May 23, 1960 [June 8, 1959], No. 18159/60. Heading A4B. A curtain suspension device 10 of semi-rigid material comprises a semitubular sleeve portion 31 and a shank portion 23 projecting perpendicularly from one side of the sleeve portion, the shank 23 being adapted to receive a needle therethrough and the sleeve having spaced apertures 32 through any of which a portion of a curtain hook 33 may be introduced into the sleeve 31. A plurality of tucks 11 (Fig. 2) are formed in the curtain, the tucks being joined along their bases by a line of stitching 25. The shank 23 of the curtain suspension device 10 is held within a pinch pleat 11 by a line of stitching 24. To secure the hook 23 against lateral motion a lip 21 is formed on the sleeve 31 on the side opposite to the shank 23.
