Abstract

1,023,406. Suspending curtains. VELCRO CORPORATION. May 11, 1964 [July 19, 1963], No. 19543/64. Heading A4B. A curtain suspending device comprises a hook 10, which may engage a curtain rod or ring, secured to a fastener 9 by a rivet the fastener 9 including a foundation tape 12 with plurality of raised threads in the form of material engaging hooks 13, the curtain having a pile fabric tape 3 sewn thereto and having raised thread loops 16 which can be engaged by the hooks 13. In a modification the hook is riveted to a metal plate which has the tape fastener secured thereto by adhesive. The device may be attached direct to a velvet or like pile fabric curtain.
