490,378. Bearings for rotary kilns &c. HANSEN, N. M. Feb. 12, 1937, No. 4308. Convention date, Feb. 12, 1936. [Class 12 (i)] A roller bearing for a rotary kiln or like apparatus is formed with a tyre 5 which may be either loose on the body of the roller as shown at 9, or shrunk thereon. In the latter case lateral movement of the tyre may be prevented by mating contact surfaces. In the construction shown the body portion consists of a hub 2, connected to a sectional rim 4 by arms 3, which may be buttressed as at 7. The arms may be apertured to reduce weight.
