490,310. Supporting road vehicles. MERRYWEATHER & SONS, Ltd., OSBORNE, J. H., BURFORD, A. W., and ALLESTREE, W. March 12, 1937, No. 7325. [Class 108 (ii)] A four-point ground support for fire ladders, water towers, and other relatively tall structures mounted on vehicles, comprises four arms A which are hinged to the vehicle on outwardly inclined hinges F and carry ground pads E adjusted by jacking-screws B. The hinges F are such that when the arms A are swung inwards the pads E are raised from the ground and take up out-of-use positions within the width of the vehicle. The arms A are held in both positions by spring catches H.
