Abstract

488,930. Interrupters. BOSCH AKT.- GES., R. Jan. 15, 1937, No. 1227. Convention date, Jan. 18, 1936. [Class 38 (v)] The contact lever of an interrupter comprises one or a pair of stamped out pieces of sheet metal from which lugs are bent for fastening a contact and a cam-operated plate. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the interrupter lever consists of two sheet-metal strips g, g which have holes at their pivotal ends by which they are mounted on a bearing sleeve o, being secured on the sleeve between stops such as the spaced beadings p. The strips g are formed with flanges h to which the movable contact i is attached and flanges k between which the cam-operated insulating plate m is secured. The two sheets g are secured together as by soldering, the solder being prevented from flowing over the whole of the adjacent surfaces by the middle portions being curved outwardly as shown in Fig. 2. Ribs v increase the mechanical rigidity of the arm and holes u tighten it. Hooked projections r are provided on the plates g to receive the double wire spring t, one end of which is secured to a plate s.
