Abstract

488,521. Vehicle floors. HUPER, A. Nov. 9, 1937, No. 30717. [Class 108 (i)] In a, floor for transport vehicles, particularly vehicles for carrying loose material such as corn, sand, &c., the separate floor boards are pressed against their supporting members by springs. As shown, the boards 3 are placed loosely on transverse I-shaped members 2 supported by the longitudinals and T-irons 4 are fitted between each pair of boards and connected to the members 2 by means of blade springs 6 which act between the members 2 and nuts on bolts 5 welded to the irons. In a modification the boards rest directly on the longitudinals and blade springs clamped at one end between the boards and the nuts engage at the other end beneath the longitudinals.
