Abstract

487,201. Skis. MATTHEE, D., and GENECAND, F. Oct. 14, 1937, Nos. 27972 and 27973. Convention dates, Oct. 24, 1936 and Jan. 22, 1937. [Class 132 (i)] A fitting arrangement for securing sealskin strips or skins to skis comprises a plate 13 secured to the side of the skin lying adjacent the ski body 1 and provided with jaws 14, which may be inserted into a channel 9 in the ski and which then engage with a bar arranged in the channel. The plate is resilient and is formed in a curve which is concave towards the surface of the ski. The bar in the channel is secured by prongs 10 thereon projecting into the body of the ski. The rear end of the skin may be secured to a clip as shown in Fig. 13, which hooks over the end of the ski. This clip is provided with an embossed portion which fits into the channel on the bottom of the ski.
