439,173. Cramps and clamps. JUPP, E. J., 41, Oak Tree Road, Southampton. May 28, 1934,No. 15787. [Class 61 (ii)] The sliding jaw c of a joiner's cramp moves on a T-shaped bar, having a sunk rack b on its upper side, and is provided with an inclined recess d into which a wedge e is fitted having teeth on its underside to engage the rack the teeth being maintained in engagement by a compression spring f ; a fixed pin d<2> engages a slot in the wedge which draws the teeth out of engagement when the jaw is released and the wedge drawn back. Specification 22259/96 [Class 61], is referred to.
