Abstract
486,839. Polarizing-apparatus ; colour photography. ZEISS IKON AKT.-GES. Nov. 11, 1937, No. 31009. Convention date, Jan. 29. [Classes 97 (i), 98 (i), and 98 (ii)] A polarization filter, particularly intended for use in colour photography &c., on lenticular films, comprises a polarizer, an analyzer, and one or more colour filters or selectively reflecting mirrors to enable a neutral grey weakening of the light to be obtained as the polarizer and analyzer are relatively rotated. As shown, a rotatable polarizer 4, an analyzer 3, and a colour filter 2 are mounted in a member 1 which can be attached to a photographic objective. Alternatively, the polarizer &c. may be made integral with the objective. The filter 2 may be replaced by a selectivelyreflecting mirror, preferably set at about 45‹ to the objective axis.
