[Class 44] In a reversible lock mechanism, the tumbler E, Fig. 1, slides on the bolt and has a bentback lug e<4> normally held in line with a lug c<4>, fixed to the casing, by arms f<1>, f<2> of a spring F passing across the top and bottom sides of the lugs. When the key is turned, the tumbler moves transversely across the bolttail b to allow the lugs to pass one another. In a modification. Fig. 5, the tumbler C<1> is pivoted to the casing at G<1> and carries a lug c<1>, the other lug b<5> being on the bolt b<7>.
