Abstract

482,341. Excavators. SAVAGE, W., and RUSTON-BUCYRUS, Ltd. Sept. 24, 1936, No. 25954. [Class 68 (i)] In an excavator with a scoop arm 4 pivoted at 5 to a boom 1, the boom being raised and lowered and the scoop arm oscillated in operation by a hoist cable 6 and drag cable 21, the scoop arm is connected with the hoist cable through a lever 10 pivoted intermediate its ends to the scoop arm and having its forward end connected through a rod 29 to an ejector plate 27 pivoted at 24 to the scoop so that as the scoop arm is swung to dumping position, the ejector is moved positively to discharge the load.
