502,507. Excavators. WHITTOME, K. A. Dec. 24, 1937, No. 35736. [Class 68 (i)l . In a dragline excavator, a boom 1, comprising a bent girder reinforced by web plates 2, is secured to one side of the underframe of the excavator and carries a pulley 9 over which the drag line 10 is deflected so that the drag bucket 12 may be moved longitudinally of a dyke &c. to one side of the excavator. The boom may be pivoted to the underframe so that it may be folded against the latter ; in this case, the outer end of the boom may be bent downwardly.
