Abstract

1,058,928. Shovel excavators. J. C. BAMFORD (EXCAVATORS) Ltd. Oct. 27, 1964 [Oct. 29, 1963], No. 42552/63. Heading E1F. To permit of variation of the arc of travel of the bucket of a back hoe or face bucket excavator, there is provided on the dipper stick of the excavator three or more longitudinally spaced connection points for the boom and a ram extending between the boom and the dipper stick. The connections between the boom and the ram are such that the boom may be connected to one only of the two end connection points or anyone of the points intermediate thereof, whilst the ram is likewise connectable only to the other of said two end points or anyone of the intermediate points.
