Abstract
481,026. Display stands. McKENZIE, A. E. Sept. 3, 1936, No. 24135. [Class 52 (v)] A collapsable display stand for seed packets comprising front angle-iron legs a detachably connected to upwardly and rearwardly inclined angle irons c presenting ledges d for display trays x is provided with lower ledges r supported at the rear by a pair of links q hung from the members c and at the front by hooks &c. engaging the legs. The legs a are united by two transverse angle-irons g and connected by pins and keyhole slots e with the inclined bars c which are united by a strip h and an angleiron k carrying pivotally a rear leg n held in position by a strut o hooked to the lower angleiron g. The links q are pivoted to pressed-up lugs on the angle-iron k and the ledges r are joined at the front by a strip t. A further ledge is formed by angle-irons v pivoted to lugs u on the legs a and supported by a transverse angle-iron w taking in a notch cut in the strut o. The flanges of the legs a are cut away to enable the trays to be slidden into place. In a modification, the support r is parallel to the support c and the ledges v are held in an inclined position by a pivoted strut engaging the front legs. The pin-and-slot connection e may be replaced by a pivoted U-section clip.
