Abstract
480,589. Refrigerating. KLEEN, N. E. AF, and PRESSED STEEL CO., Ltd. July 23, 1936, No. 20438. [Class 29] Absorption machines and systems.-Reversing machines of the kind employing solid absorbents are provided with means within the generator-absorber for trapping condensed refrigerant returning thereto. In a machine in which the absorbent is supported on perforate plates 15, condensate returning through the vapour outlet pipe 20 flows through the tube 21. to the compartment 23 of the generator-absorber and is subsequently evaporated. In a modification, the condensate collects in a tray 32, Fig. 4. In another arrangement, the condensate is absorbed by a substance, e.g. lithium nitrate, contained in a tray 46, Fig. 5.
