Abstract
479,498. Fuel containers. AIVAZ, J. Aug. 5, 1936, No. 28201/37. Convention date, Aug. 5, 1935. Divided out of 479,489. [Class 79 (iii)] [Also in Group XXIX] A tank for motor vehicles is provided with supporting-brackets 21 having flanges 20 conforming to the shape of the wall 5 and secured to it by screws passing into blind nuts 23 which are entirely contained within the tank and soldered to the inner face of the wall. The inner ends of the nuts may be secured to connecting-members, in the case shown being soldered to an angle-iron 24 to one face of which a partition 25 is riveted. In a modification, the nuts 23 to which the partition is connected are made longer, the partition being secured by rivets or bolts passing through transverse holes in their ends. In another form, the tank is provided with supporting brackets at the top of the side walls, connected by strap members which pass round the sides and bottom of the tank and are secured by screws and blind nuts as above described.
