[Class 108 (i)] The vehicle body is provided with sloped guiding means for supporting floor or deck elements during transference from one level to another. In one form the guiding-means comprise the battens 15, Fig. 1, attached to the sides of the body. The deck elements 6, 7, 8 normally rest on the horizontal supporting ways 9, but, for storage, are transferred along the battens 15, to positions 6A, 7A, 8A, on the battens 5, which are gapped at 5A to allow for their passage. The deck element 8, is attached to the supporting ways 9 by means of hooks 10 engaging in corresponding eyes, and the outer end of this element is supported in the horizontal position by removable pins 11, which allow it to swing to position 8B and to be used as a ramp when required. When in the position 8A the element is secured in position by the hooks 10 engaging in eyes on the battens 5 and the stowed elements are thus prevented from moving. In a second form, the guiding-means comprise the battens 16, Fig. 2, attached to the arms 17, which are pivoted to the sides of the body at 18. When the deck elements are in their useful positions, the guideway is in the position shown, but when it is desired to stow them, they are placed on the battens 16 and the whole swung to position 16A. The battens 16 then form parts of the supporting ways 5.
