[Class 4] In a parachute of the type having a canopy with one or more air vents and shroud lines which run from one side of the canopy over the apex thereof to the other side, some or all of the shroud lines are fastened to the skirt of the canopy and are connected to the border of the air vent by means permitting relative movement. As shown, certain of the rigging lines b are fastened at the skirt of canopy a and are led through guides e secured at the border c of air vent d, and others are secured at both the skirt and at the border c. Pull cords g secured to border c or to the canopy adjacent thereto are loosely disposed in all or some of the meridian seams f and are led downwardly to within reach of the wearer.
