[Classes 42 (ii) and 76] Fur is carroted with a solution of chloric acid, one or more strong peroxygen compounds such as peroxides or persalts, and a strong liberating acid such as sulphuric or nitric preferably applied while the hair is on the skin. Hydrogen peroxide, ammonium persulphate and perborate and sodium perborate and perchlorate are mentioned as peroxides. Examples are given.
