Abstract

1,198,433. 1,1<SP>1</SP> - Peroxydicyclohexylamine and 1,1<SP>1</SP>-dihydroxydicyclohexyl peroxide. BP CHEMICALS (U.K.) Ltd. 31 Dec., 1968 [22 Dec., 1967], No. 58378/67. Heading C2C. 1,1<SP>1</SP>-Peroxydicyclohexylamine is obtained by reacting cyclohexanone and hydrogen peroxide together at below 25‹ C. to give 1,1<SP>1</SP>-dihydroxydicyclohexyl peroxide and reacting this with ammonia at 25‹ to 50‹ C. The first stage may be conducted in the presence of an alkali, e.g. ammonia.
