Abstract

476,900. Viewing contents of cartons &c. ROBINSON & SONS, Ltd., ROBINSON, E. B., and WHEATCROFT, W. June 24, 1936, Nos. 17582/36 and 5976/37. [Class 18] A carton or like container is formed from a blank shown in Fig. 1 with windows 2 and covered on the outside with a sheet 4 of flexible transparent material secured by adhesive thereto. Ordinary adhesives applied by rollers, spreaders or spraying devices may be used or adhesives which exert a solvent action on the transparent material, and the latter may consist of celluloid, gelatine (preferably insolubilized by tanning) cellulose derivatives such as acetate or regenerated cellulose. In Fig. 3 the lid 6 of a powder box 5 is similarly formed and is secured to the body by adhesive or adhesive tape. In Fig. 4 a drawer-and-shell box is shown comprising shell 11, drawer 12 and separately formed top 13 with windows 14 secured by adhesive and covered by flexible transparent material 15.
