Abstract

476,784. Seats. FRAENCKEL, G. J. March 19, 1937, No. 8133. [Class 52 (ii)] A chair in which the seat is adjustable to two different heights comprises a seat 10, back 15 and arms 16 forming a unit and connected by a hinge 20 to a cross-bar 8 of a frame 1 which can be turned so that either the side 4 or the side 3 rests on the floor. The seat is secured in either of the two positions by means of bolts 21 which engage in selected holes of one or other of two sets of holes 22, 23 on the frame, so providing a limited amount of angular adjustment. The cross member 19, to which the hinges 20 are secured may be slidably mounted in the seat frame.
