Abstract

476,616. Brackets. GERK, W. Oct. 16, 1936, No. 28157. [Class 52 (v)] A device adapted to be attached to a rod or tube 11 to support a drinking-glass, ashtray &c., comprises a sleeve 7 clamped to the rod by a set-screw 10 and having a pair of annular flanges 5 with apertures 8 of a shape other than circular and adapted to take a stem 13 forming part of the ring or other support 14 for the glass &c. The ring may have a gap 16 through which the stems of a wineglass may be passed. The support may be of hook formation for supporting garments. The device may be attached to a walking stick or tent pole, and by providing a number of the devices spaced along an upright support and carrying shelves a display stand is formed. To prevent accidental removal of the stem their lower ends may be screw-threaded and provided with nuts.
