[Class 98 (i)] Photographic film packages of the type comprising inner and outer envelopes, the outer one of which is formed with a mask through which the light-sensitive material can be exposed when the inner envelope is withdrawn, has a flexible loop interconnecting the two envelopes in such a manner as to be drawn into the outer one as the two envelopes are separated to expose the film, and a locking tongue which, when the envelopes are closed, is insertable within the loop to prevent it collapsing and to prevent the inner envelope from being withdrawn. The complete package is shown in vertical cross-section in Fig. 5. The outer envelope, Fig. 1, comprises three panels, 12, with slot 17 ; 13, with exposure aperture 15, and 14. The sensitive material is placed on the panel 14, secured by bending over the tongue 18, and then folded over the aperture 15. The panel 12 is then folded over and secured by adhesive to the tongue 23. The tongues 20, 22 and 24 are folded inwards for light-tightness. The two sides of the plain inner envelope 10, Fig. 4, pass between the panel 14 and the panels 12 and 13 respectively. A tongue 30 attached to one side at the open end passes through the slot 17 and is secured at 31. When the looking tongue 32 is passed through the loop thus formed, the envelope 10 cannot be withdrawn. According to the Provisional Specification, the tongue 23 and panel 12 may be secured without the use of adhesive by a series of overlapping and interlocking portions, one of which may be the locking tongue 32.
