Abstract
476,059. Tables for mobor - cars. COWEN, W. June 15, 1936, Nos. 16622 and 19391. [Class 52 (iii)] A table .1 adapted to be detachably secured to a motor-car steering-wheel 2 comprises a part 3 adapted to pass between a pair of spokes 4 and extend to the steering column 5 and formed with recesses 6 to interlock with the wheel. The part 3 may have a slot at its rear end partially to embrace the steering column or may have a slidable pin-and-slot connection with an extension piece 8 clamped by a nut to adjust it for different steering- wheels. The front edge of the table is curved and may be secured to the wheel by a spring hook 11. A spring clip 12 on the steering column provides a bearing for the recessed end 10 of the extension 8. The table may be in two or more hinged parts.
