Abstract

474,926. Hinges. FERRANTI, Ltd., and BUTTERFIELD, W. V. May 16, 1936, No. 13955. [Class 65 (ii)] [Also in Group XI] Pivoting-adjustments.-A hinge connecting a reflector to the framework 8 of an electric fire comprises a pivot pin 6, which is gripped by a clamp 7 having two arms drawn together by a screw 14, the clamp being contained either within the hollow supporting frame 8 or within a hollow member integral with the reflector. In the process of manufacture the clamp 7 is inserted in the hollow frame 8 and is pushed along until the screw 14 can be inserted through a hole provided in the frame and through holes in the arms 11 and 12 of the clamp. The pivot pin 6 is then inserted through a hole in the frame and a corresponding hole in the clamp, the latter being then tightened to grip the pivot 6.
