474,460. Aircraft wheel brakes. BENDIX. Ltd., and ROBERTS, G. P. May 15, 1936, No. 13738. [Class 4] A control unit for fluid-pressure aircraft brakes comprises two valves on hydraulic cylinders respectively controlling brakes on opposite sides of the aircraft and mounted side by side and actuated by a pair of levers operable simultaneously by a hand lever and a Bowden wire h or differentially by cams n, m on a shaft p operated by the rudder bar. Only one valve a and one lever j are visible in Fig. 1. Each lever j is pivoted to the plunger e operated by the wire h and carries an adjustable stud s adapted to operate the valve and carries a roller l engaging one of the cams n, m. When the rudder bar is turned, one roller runs on the concentric pawl x of a cam but the other roller runs on to a substantially radial part y to relieve the pressure of one brake. The lower ends of the levers are guided by rods k.
