Abstract

473,902. Fastenings; chain couplings. LATHAM MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd., and LATHAM, H. G. April 23, 1936, No. 11557. [Classes 24 and 44] A hand-operated chain pull, Fig. 1, for attachment to a slidable part of a fastening comprises a connector 6 having means 8 for attachment to the slidable part of the fastening and formed with a permanently closed loop 7 through which is threaded a hook 4 having an integral shank 12 attached to the end element 5 of the chain. Alternatively, as shown in Fig. 7, the hook 15 may be formed by a shank integral with the looped connector 6, 7 and such hook is threaded through an end link 16 of the chain. The invention is applicable to the slider of a sliding-clasp fastening.
