[Class 102 (i)] In apparatus for dispensing pastes or liquids the cover k of a container a carries a chamber e, having a suction pipe c, and closed by a diaphragm g, which is operated by a push-rod h and button i. Discharge takes place through a spout l, the suction pipe being closed by a plunger o carried by the diaphragm. The pipe c terminates in a funnel d. The apparatus may be attached to a wall-bracket r by means of collars p and studs q. In a modification, the push-rod h and plunger o are formed integral with the diaphragm which is cupped and acts as the return spring. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes also a diaphragm g, Fig. 3 (Cancelled), having an integral pushrod g<1> but without the plunger o. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
