Abstract

473,316. Pen - stands. DEHN, F. B. (Parker Pen Co.) Sept. 2, 1936, No. 24085. [Class 146 (iii)] A fountain-pen and holder for the same comprises a specially modified cap 14 for the pen, and a metal snap socket 12 mounted on a base 10 and adapted foi frictional engagement with the cap, whereby, on application of a member 13 on the cap to the socket, the base and fountainpen are united and the pen may be withdrawn leaving the cap united to the base to constitute a socket for repeated insertion and removal of the pen. The member 13 is ball-shaped so that the cap is frictionally retained in any position, and the base 10 is in the form of a vacuum cup. The socket 12 is split to form resilient gripping flanges and is screwed on to a stud 11 set into the cup 10.
