Abstract

366,682. Stands. HODGES, A. E., 61, Portland Avenue, Gravesend, Kent. Jan. 6, 1931, Nos. 432 and 4799. [Class 52 (v).] A stand for pens, pencils, &c. comprises a strip-like member of which a relatively long and narrow edge is magnetized and constitutes the surface to which the pens &c. will be held. The magnetized member is preferably of horseshoe form, and is shown as an elongated bar 10 slotted horizontally, the slot being filled with mouldable non-magnetizable material 11, and the bar is attached by a wing-nut 15 to a member 13. Each article to be retained on the bar is provided with a cap or armature such as a split tube 17 having a solid flanged end 18, or a plug may be screwed into the end of the article. According to the second Provisional Specification the stand may be used for retaining hand-stamps.
