471,699. Attaching knobs to lock spindles; set-screws. YALE & TOWNE MANUFACTURING CO. July 22, 1936, No. 20277. Convention date, Oct. 19, 1935. [Classes 44 and 89 (i)] A fixing screw for a door knob and latch spindle assembly has an end portion of larger diameter than that of the hole it is to enter and is formed with a cutting edge. Fig. 5 shows the action of the screw upon the slot in a latch spindle. The screw may be used also in conjunction with circular holes and cross-slots.
