Abstract

465,364. Latch handles. EVERED & CO., Ltd., and WILSON, A. H. Dec. 17, 1935, No. 34949. [Class 44] The knob or handle 7 of a door latch is secured to a spindle 5 having a slot 5<a> the faces of which are provided with serrations or channels 5b. The securing pin 6 has plain ends and two flattened faces 6<a> provided with similar serrations so that the position of the knob is readily adjustable. The spindle may be made in two parts each having a recess to form the slot 5<a> when the parts are placed together. The parts may be secured by spot welding or riveting, but the parts 5<c> between the slot 5<a> and the end of the spindle are left free so that the end may expand when the pin 6 is inserted.
