Abstract

398,012. Attaching knobs. GOSLETT, M. G. and GOSLETT & Co., Ltd., A., 127, Charing Cross Road, London. July 26, 1932, No. 21115. [Class 44.] An adjustment for tightening a knob or other handle of the kind having a screwed flanged thimble c rotatable in a rose plate, both knob and thimble being axially apertured to take a non- circular.spindle y, is provided by giving the aperture in the thimble a shape differing from the section of the spindle but permitting selective engagement therewith in a number of radial positions advancing by small amounts. In the form shown, a square spindle coacts with an eightpointed star-shaped hole h in the thimble c, giving a 45‹ adjustment. As an alternative a spindle with a projecting key can be used with an internally fluted thimble.
