Abstract
471,693. Plastering chimneys. SUCHANEK, F. March 28, 1936, No. 9299. Convention date, March 30, 1935. [Class 20 (ii)] A method of coating the inner surface of a chimney with plaster consists in passing through the chimney a nozzle 6 to which the plaster is fed by means of compressed air through a length of flexible tubing 5, the nozzle being so constructed as to direct the plaster outwardly substantially all around itself and away from the axis of the chimney. The plaster supply is arranged at one end of the chimney and, in the form shown, comprises a mixing drum 1 having a flange 3 for the connection of a compressor or a compressed air cylinder. The nozzle consists of two parts 7, 8, screwed together and is formed with a plurality of outlet openings 9. A guiding and smoothing plate 12 of rubber mounted between two plates 14 is attached to the lower nozzle part 8 by attaching means comprising a bolt 10, nut 15 and distance member 11. Further smoothing plates articulated together as shown, may be provided to give a repeated smoothing to the plaster coating.
