Abstract

471,661. Making hinged bag-frames. UNITED - CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. April 6, 1937, No. 9725. Convention date, May 6, 1936. [Class 83 (ii)] [Also in Group XVII] The members of jointed mouth frames for bags &c. are formed from sheet .metal strip provided with V-section scorings 10, 11, 12, Fig. 2, diamond-shaped apertures 15 with parts 17 projecting into them, an eye 3 at one end and a part 13 adapted to be rolled to form a hinge barrel at the other end. When bent up, the central portion is of the channel section shown in Fig. 4, bending of the end parts 2 at right-angles to it being facilitated by the presence of the apertures 15, the parts 17 being spot-welded to the base portion 7 of the channel.
