Abstract

The process described in the parent Specification is varied by heating the compositions only to a state, short of where they are capable of being cut, where they are capable of being crushed or ground but where they are infusible and will not flow freely when they are moulded under heat, the products so obtained being broken up and welded together by the action of pressure with or without moderate heat. The broken particles may be arranged to yield final products resembling amber or tortoise shell.
