Abstract

A shampooing preparation comprises a mixture of a fatty acid ester of a hydroxy-sulphonic acid or an acidyl derivative of an amino-sulphonic acid with a sulphuric acid ester of a fat or oil or of a fatty acid thereof. The mixtures are used in aqueous solutions which are stated not to gelatinize. Substances such as glycerin, alcohol, saponin, or camomile extract may also be added. According to examples preparations may consist of (1) oleic ester of isethionic acid, turkey red oil, glycerin and water, or (2) oleic acid derivative of taurine, sulphuric acid ester of hydroxystearic acid, glycerin, saponin, sugar and water.
